Why should I get a massage?
Anyone who has stress in their life of any type can benefit from massage therapy. A non-invasive, drug-free option is rare these days, but massage therapy can help with everything from migraines, TMJ disorder, chronic low back pain, plantar fasciitis, sciatica, pregnancy aches and pains, depression, anxiety, and athletes' training soreness.
Who should get a massage?
Everyone! No, really. There are very few conditions or reasons why someone should not get a massage. Anyone, of any age can benefit from massage therapy. Those who are newly pregnant, have major medical issues, or recent surgery may need a doctor's note, and those with a fever or open wounds should refrain from getting a massage. If you have a specific question about whether massage is right for your condition, please call or email, or set up a no-cost consultation before setting up your appointment.
I'm pregnant, is massage safe?
Yes! Massage is safe during all three trimesters when done by a properly trained, Certified Pre-Natal Massage Therapist. Please inform your therapist if you are pregnant so that all proper precautions are taken to ensure the safety of both mom and baby. A doctor's note is required for first trimester or high-risk/history of high-risk pregnancies.
Do I have to get naked?
Nope. When we say "undress to your comfort level," we mean it. That means if you want to completely undress, leave your underwear on, or stay fully or partially clothed, that's okay. Regardless of your level of undress, we will ask you to get under the sheet/blanket, and only the area being worked on will be uncovered at any given time.
What lotion do you use?
Currently we use Biotone PureTouch Organics Hypoallergenic Massage Creme and doTERRA essential oil products. Please let your therapist know if you have any skin or aromatic allergies.
